My Favourite Black Outfits June 2021
I have really been enjoying playing around and creating outfits recently and found myself inspired to turn them into this blog! I created the first two and realised that I had done them head to toe in black, so chose to carry on with that theme. If you hadn't noticed from my previous blogs, I really like to wear black. Some of these are looks i've worn before and some I created specifically for this blog. These are mainly evening outfits or occasion outfits so not for everyday, but I don't need a reason to dress up these days! I use the same headband in quite a lot of these outfits because I am obsessed with it at the moment and love the vibe it adds to the looks. Hope you like them!

I was having a conversation with my cousins and sisters about if it is acceptable to wear black to a wedding. The general consensus among them was no, but I think I am on team yes. I think black can look super elegant and chic and make a small statement and I would definitely wear this to a wedding. This dress is actually my sister Bea’s from H&M and I wish I had bought it when she did. It has a knee length slip dress with a polka dot mesh dress over the top. It has some amazing dramatic sleeves and an extra frill at the bottom to add body to the dress. It is quietly dramatic and pairs amazingly with this headband. My sister doesn’t like this headband and says I look like Anne Boleyn in it but I’m happy to look like royalty! These shoes are last season Kurt Geiger mules which are a lower heel than most of my black shoes which is perfect for a wedding where you will be in your shoes all day. I finished the look with very simple gold earrings and this small structured bag from TKMaxx which has a fur handle. I honestly love this so much and I wish I didn't already have a dress for a wedding I am attending this summer, however I have my cousins 18th so this will do nicely!

This outfit is a perfect evening look for dinner and drinks or a dinner party or even a party. I feel so chic in this outfit and yes it includes the headband... again! I love the pairing with the dramatic blouse and feel the neckline and headband really compliment each other. This blouse actually was a dress from a Lorna Luxe In The Style range last year but I got inspiration from Trinny Woodall again and cut it into a blouse to get more use out of it. This is now so much more wearable for me because it didn't give me much shape as a dress and I was unable to belt it without it bunching up. As I am only 5,3 it was a bit too long as a dress and kind of wore me, instead of me wearing the dress. As the blouse is a lace mesh, I wore a black bralette under and added this small old Zara bag to finish. I really love this look and would definitely recommend cutting any dresses you don't/can't wear into blouses.

This is the look that inspired the whole blog. This is the same unique jellyfish skirt from my white t-shirt blog which I saw being styled by a woman on Instagram with a black blazer. I took inspiration from her look, tweaked it a bit and created my favourite look and potential birthday look for me this year. Again yes I am wearing the Anne Boleyn headband again, but can you blame me? It looks so great with this blazer. I chose to not wear anything under the blazer as it is double breasted and provides enough coverage and support and is a bit of a cheeky evening statement. I chose the same shoes as the first look because they look really elegant especially with the length of the skirt. To finish, I added this great Bottega dupe bag from Nasty Gal. This bag is genuinely like a Tardis inside and can fit everything but the kitchen sink! This outfit represents everything I want to be as a person; sophisticated, elegant and extremely fashionable.

So this is the only casual/day look in this blog as I have been creating more dressed up looks. I definitely need some more tan on my legs, but this outfit is very cute and would be perfect for a lunch outing or a trip to some sort of market. I can just picture myself now, in this outfit with a pastry and some flowers in my hand... dreamy! This dress is from H&M for the bargain price of £12.99 and I have worn it A LOT. It is so easy to style because it goes with sandals, trainers, heels and mules and can be dressed up or down. I got these sandals last year and my family have never liked them! But until I am rich enough to buy myself the Chanel sandals, these ones are staying. The hat is from Puma on ASOS and is perfect for bad hair days and the bag in an Elle canvas bag with white detailing to match the hat. This look doesn't need thick chunky jewellery so I finished it with some nice gold earrings and necklace from Orelia.
These outfits have mainly been occasion outfits. I have a lot of all black casual winter looks so decided to also include some honourable mentions. First one is a black tracksuit paired with a long black coat and platform trainers. This look is so easy and looks effortless so is a constant for me during the winter months. The second is just as simple as the first. It consists of black leggings, the same platform trainers and an incredibly beautiful long-sleeve top from Zara. The neckline on this top is so gorgeous and flattering, I wore it so much during the winter. This final look I have mentioned in a blog before. It was my favourite outfit I wore to work during the colder months. It consisted of a black blazer and suit trousers which were tucked into square-toed heeled ankle boots. You know you're wearing a good outfit when you feel amazing and I definitely did in this one.
