My Designer Wishlist

Image
Though right now, I am not able to afford the amazing designer items I would like, I hope to someday be fortunate enough to own a few special items. I have put together my top designer brands and my  favourites from each of them that I hope to purchase one day.  Chanel At the absolute top of my wishlist is Chanel. My first designer bag will be the Trendy CC, as in my opinion it is the most classic Chanel bag, especially in black. I love wearing black as it is both flattering and universal - it goes with absolutely everything. Having this bag in black will match many of my outfits.  Secondly from Chanel is their iconic Chanel No.5 Eau du Parfum. Not only is this a nostalgic scent for me, as my Mother wore this when I was a child, but its elegant scent reminds me of someone I aspire to be.  Dior For a long time I had decided my first designer bag would be the Dior black Saddle Bag. Though I still love this bag and would love to own one, I see myself as more of a Chanel...

Favourite Autumn Outfits 2020

Image
As we are now coming to the end of Autumn and the beautiful orange leaves are falling off the trees, I have decided to look back through my outfits and chose my top five autumnal favourites from my Instagram @graciemariekeenan.  Over this last season I have come to realise that style wise, Autumn is my favourite because I love layering and being snuggled in warmer clothing. I also love the colours that come with autumnal outfits, the chunky boots paired with oversized blazers and the introduction of hats and scarfs. So here are my top five. Outfit Number One I know I love an outfit when it makes me feel like a million dollars and this outfit did just that. I was having a bit of an outfit inspiration block so looked on Pinterest for some new ideas. I found some of my saved photos and I noticed there were so many military mixed with suit style outfits so wanted to put my spin on that. I had had my eye on these H&M trousers for a few months and finally treated myself to the...

Who is your style icon?

Image
Whilst looking through my old blog idea notes, I found an idea I'd had to write a blog about who my style icons were. I had written down who I considered to be inspirational with outfits at the time. Looking at that list now, I find it so interesting to see how much that has changed.  Back then my list consisted of best friend YouTubers Sophia and Cinzia and American YouTuber Julia Havens. Though I still love these women and still religiously watch their YouTube videos, I now wouldn't consider them to be my personal style inspirations. Whilst at Uni, I did a very practical course which required me to constantly be in active wear. This is probably the reason I loved these women's styles so much as they incorporated a lot of joggers, hoodies and sportswear into their everyday style. However, I now like to think of my style as a mixture of 90s preppy chic and London girl classic with occasionally a few masculine type pieces.  So as my style, fashion preferences and inspiration...

Introduction Post

Hello!  My name is Gracie Marie Keenan. I am twenty-one years old and I'm from Kent in England. I have recently graduated from University this year (2020) and am now beginning to find my way in the world and figure out which career path I want to take.  Like many people, at the beginning of lockdown, I was a completely different person to who I am today. I was living at University in Southampton with my friends, constantly in joggers, hoodies and leggings and bored of cooking for one. Since March an unbelievable amount has changed in my life and I've even considered changing my hair!  I left Southampton finishing a course I wasn't one hundred percent passionate about (Musical Theatre), in a relationship and very homesick.  Funny how much has changed since then! I'm now looking for a job in the fashion industry,  navigating single life and living with my family back in Kent. My dream is to live in Paris one day but until that dream becomes a little more feas...
