How to Style… A ‘Wild Like Her’ Hoodie

Image
Hello! For the next blog post in the 'How to Style' series, I have chosen to style a simple hoodie. This is a staycation edition as most of us are once again unable to go abroad on holiday this summer! This hoodie is from Wild Like Her and was gifted to me by the amazing owner Cathryn.  Wild Like Her is a brand that sells cosy and extremely well-made jumpers, hoodies and t-shirts and I was lucky enough to get my hand on one of the hoodies with the ‘note to self’ in mint green. The detailing in this hoodie is so unique and unlike any hoodie I’ve ever owned. Firstly, it is so fluffy and soft inside so is guaranteed to keep you warm. There are two extra pockets and a loop to attach your keys to... inside the main pocket! I have never seen that before but it makes so much sense! My favourite part of the hoodie is the small note that is on the left sleeve. It is such a great idea for when you are having a tough day.  So onto the styling... 1. Sporty Look I got this hoodie in a si...

My Favourite Black Outfits June 2021

Image
I have really been enjoying playing around and creating outfits recently and found myself inspired to turn them into this blog! I created the first two and realised that I had done them head to toe in black, so chose to carry on with that theme. If you hadn't noticed from my previous blogs, I really like to wear black. Some of these are looks i've worn before and some I created specifically for this blog. These are mainly evening outfits or occasion outfits so not for everyday, but I don't need a reason to dress up these days! I use the same headband in quite a lot of these outfits because I am obsessed with it at the moment and love the vibe it adds to the looks. Hope you like them! 1.  I was having a conversation with my cousins and sisters about if it is acceptable to wear black to a wedding. The general consensus among them was no, but I think I am on team yes. I think black can look super elegant and chic and make a small statement and I would definitely wear this to a...

How to Style... Black Espadrille Wedges

Image
Hello again!  So the second blog in the 'How to Style' series is gong to be about black espadrille wedges. My wedges are from Zara and I've worn them in now so they are super comfy, but they didn't come that way! These are mostly summer outfits as you don't tend to wear espadrilles in winter but some can be tweaked for the colder weather. This blog post really made me realise that all my clothing is from Zara and H&M!  1.  Wedding Guest/ Special Occasion THIS DRESS! I love this dress so much. It's from H&M last S/S collection and I wanted it as soon as I saw it. The colour is so bright and beautiful and mixes so well with other colours. I saw so many great ways to style it and different colours to style it with on Instagram last year. Emerald green goes really nicely as well as red but I quite like to style it with black. I wish I had got this dress in size S because this M is quite big but I still love it. I styled it quite simply with the wedges, a rea...

How to Style... A White T-Shirt

Image
Welcome to the first blog in my new series called 'How to Style' where I take one item and style it in four or five different ways. This helps me when buying new clothes as I tend to buy clothes without considering what I'd wear with it. Styling one item multiple ways helps remind me of what I already have. For the first blog in the series, I chose a simple white t-shirt - a staple item featured in most wardrobes more than once. I recently purchased the white t-shirt featured in all the pictures. It was a bargain from H&M at only £3.99. I love the way it looks so will definitely be stocking up on more. 1. So, first outfit I created is this casual summer day look. Starting with the t-shirt, I paired it with these new beige trousers from Zara which are extremely comfortable and make me feel quite sophisticated. I then added loads of black accessories including my trusty black clutch from Nasty Gal and my dad sandals from Shein. Luckily my watch strap and phone case are bl...

What I'd wear to....

Now that we are starting to get more sun, I wanted to try and plan some outfits so I am ready to go! I included outfits for mundane places like the supermarket too as I feel they have become a somewhat fashion parade for me recently! So lets get into the outfits... 1. Bottomless Brunch My best friend and I recently went to brunch when I visited her in Leeds. It was so nice to be out in public and able to sit inside and eat! I stayed true to brand and of course wore an all black outfit. I wore this black shirt dress from Zara - a summer staple piece especially if you're struggling with choosing an outfit. This dress goes with so many different types of shoes including white chunky trainers, dad sandals, slider shoes and heeled sandals so it's perfect for many occasions and can be dressed up and down. I paired it with my black Zara wedges and a black clutch from Nasty Gal. To finish the look, I added a big and bold headband to tie in all the black. I love this outfit and felt a m...

What I got for Christmas 2020

Image
Wow! It has been a long and busy December and January! Which is ironic since we are practically in lockdown and are unable to go anywhere except on a walk. I have started a new job this year which is an exciting new adventure for me. I want 2021 to be all about improving myself and becoming the best version of me.  But enough about that! This blog post is about the goodies I was lucky enough to have received this Christmas. Throughout the year, I tend to make a list of potential things I would like to have (not expecting all of it of course!) and give it to my family. This, in my opinion, guarantees that I will love all of my presents and this year was no exception. I was spoilt by my wonderful friends and family this year and may have spoilt myself too :) So first up is an item I am happily able to tick off my designer wishlist: Chanel No. 5! This is by far my favourite scent as it was worn by my mother when I was younger and brings back nostalgic memories whenever I get a wiff. C...

My Designer Wishlist

Image
Though right now, I am not able to afford the amazing designer items I would like, I hope to someday be fortunate enough to own a few special items. I have put together my top designer brands and my  favourites from each of them that I hope to purchase one day.  Chanel At the absolute top of my wishlist is Chanel. My first designer bag will be the Trendy CC, as in my opinion it is the most classic Chanel bag, especially in black. I love wearing black as it is both flattering and universal - it goes with absolutely everything. Having this bag in black will match many of my outfits.  Secondly from Chanel is their iconic Chanel No.5 Eau du Parfum. Not only is this a nostalgic scent for me, as my Mother wore this when I was a child, but its elegant scent reminds me of someone I aspire to be.  Dior For a long time I had decided my first designer bag would be the Dior black Saddle Bag. Though I still love this bag and would love to own one, I see myself as more of a Chanel...
